During Women’s History Month, our Clubs celebrated the achievements of women past and present, inspiring the next generation to dream big, break barriers, and recognize the powerful impact of female leaders in their lives. Through engaging events, meaningful discussions, and thoughtful reflections, our youth explored the themes of leadership, resilience, and opportunity — all while strengthening their sense of self and community. In addition to these featured events, our Club staff organized creative high-yield activities throughout the month, all designed to highlight the contributions of women.

Webster Kendrick Club: Our members participated in a Women’s History Career Day event designed to empower and inspire. By highlighting the achievements of influential female leaders across various industries, the event reinforced the message that success is not defined by gender. By showcasing diverse career paths and role models, Club members were encouraged to pursue their ambitions with confidence and resilience. “I host our Annual Women’s History Month Career Day because I want to ensure our youth are empowered by the stories and strength of female leaders in our communities.” -- Abina Rogers, Club Manager

Brooklyn O’Malley Club: Our members and Staff had the opportunity to hear firsthand from women making an impact in the community. The Club hosted a “Girls Can Change the World” panel discussion featuring Jasmine Slide, a member of the Neighborhood Coordinator & Community Policy Unit, and Bri Rena, a professional in Human Resources and youth and women’s empowerment. Jasmine spoke about her responsibilities, the positive changes she helps implement, and what keeps her motivated. Bri shared her unique perspective on connecting workforce development with community impact and the mentors who have influenced her journey. “This event is about showing our youth what’s possible and inspiring the next generation to lead with confidence and purpose” said Club Manager Kyra Nichols. The discussion concluded with an engaging Q&A, where members reflected on their futures—whether pursuing college, entrepreneurship, or new career paths. This exchange sparked meaningful conversations about leadership, ambition, and perseverance.

Club at Harper's Choice Middle School: Our Club members took time to reflect on the women who inspire them most. Through heartfelt letters, they expressed gratitude, admiration, and appreciation for family members, our Staff and the community. Their words served as a reminder of the importance of representation, resilience, and strong role models, reinforcing the impact women have on shaping the next generation of leaders.

Westport Club: In honor of Women's Month, Westport hosted a special celebration to recognize and appreciate the incredible women who support our youth and contribute to our community. This heartwarming event brought together members, their families, and guests to celebrate the strength, love, and contributions of mothers, grandmothers, and other female role models. The celebration was filled with fun activities, delicious food, drinks and treats including Chick-Fil-A, Rita's, arts and crafts, drawing and painting and great music.

By hosting these events, our Clubs provided a space for youth to build character, explore career aspirations, and develop a strong sense of self-worth. Whether through career discussions, engaging with mentors, or reflecting on inspiring women, our members gained valuable insights that will help them navigate their own journeys. As we continue to create opportunities for youth to grow and thrive, we remain dedicated to empowering every young person to reach their full potential—because great futures start here.
